Dr. Dima Ibrahim recently received her Transplant Infectious Diseases fellowship at Duke University Medical Centre (DUMC) after completing her internal medicine and infectious disease specialities at the American University of Beirut Medical Centre (AUBMC). Her areas of expertise are management of infections in immuno compromised population particularly in solid and stem cell transplant recipients, patients with hematologic malignancies, and patients with left ventricular assisted devices (LVAD) infections.
Dr. Dima has been involved in medical research activities and published (6+) articles in peer reviewed medical journals and presented in local and international conferences. She was also actively involved in teaching activities, infection control practices and development of prophylaxis protocols at AUBMC and DUMC.
