Dr. Ramamurthy is an experienced anaesthesiologist with more than 17 years post qualification experience with special interests in Transplant anaesthesia (Liver & Kidney), HPB surgery,Trauma, Oncology, Bariatric, Obstetrics, Orthopaedics, Robotic and GI surgery. He is well versed and experienced in Neonatal & Paediatric anaesthesia and advanced Ultrasound guided Regional Anaesthesia.
After completing his MBBS from Kilpauk Medical College, he pursued his Anaesthesia training at King George Medical University, Lucknow, India. He continued his career progression in the UK by joining the West Yorkshire Anaesthesia Rotation in Leeds which led to his Fellow of Royal College of Anaesthetists and the Certificate of Completion of training in Anaesthesia. In his final years of training, he was extensively involved in upper GI, HPB and Transplant anaesthesia along with Transplant Critical Care.
He returned to India and worked at Global Hospitals and Aster DM Healthcare in Bangalore, where he has managed hundreds of Kidney and Liver transplants along with a Multidisciplinary team and has vast experience in managing both Cadaveric and Live Donor Kidney and Liver transplants.
His last assignment was as Consultant Anaesthesiologist at NMC Royal Hospital, Khalifa city which is a busy tertiary care hospital in Abu Dhabi providing anaesthesia to all surgical sub specialities.
